(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Director General of Health Services has issued a new coronavirus health guideline further easing several restrictions that were in place to curb the spread of the virus.
Restrictions have been eased over nine sectors with effect from today.
Accordingly, indoor concerts have been permitted with a 50% capacity of the venue while outdoor concerts and festivals continue to be prohibited.
Meanwhile places of religious worship have been allowed to open, under a separate health guideline that is due to be issued for religious events at such places.
According to the Director General of Health Services zoological gardens, wildlife sanctuaries and parks will be open to the public with only a 25% capacity allowed.
Furthermore, sports training and related events that don’t involve physical contact have been permitted.
Children’s parks, rest houses, boarding houses, camping sites and betting centres can also open according to the new directives.
