Students face difficulties in online learning in Sri Lanka [VIDEO]

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Since COVID-19 kicked off, a large number of students in Sri Lanka have been facing difficulties in the online education process, due to the poor digital infrastructure, which failed in providing distance education to all students in various villages, in addition to the fact that a large number of families cannot secure the mobile phones or computers needed to educate their children due to their low financial conditions, the A24 News Agency reported.

Children of the same family resort to taking turns using the only available device in the education process, while some students have to climb to the roofs of their homes to continue their education due to the weak signal, and despite the Government’s distribution of tablets and low-cost internet packages, they were not enough, however, Government Officials demanded that all children be provided with internet access devices.
