Over 400 arrested for quarantine law violations

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Another 428 persons have been arrested on the charges of violating quarantine regulations in the past 24 hours.

Police said accordingly 44,644 individuals have been arrested on similar charges thus far.

Police Media Spokesman Acting Senior DIG Ajith Rohana said several special operations in relation to quarantine regulations are scheduled to be carried out today as well.

He added special operations focusing on the COVID-19 health regulations pertaining to the operation of organizations which were issued by the Director-General of Health Services on the 20th of June, will be underway.
