Woodley set for “Borat” writer’s “Robots”

(UTV | COLOMBO) – “Divergent” actress Shailene Woodley and British comedian Jack Whitehall will star in the fast-paced sci-fi comedy “Robots” which hails from “Borat” and Bruno” writer Anthony Hines.
Based on a short story by writer Robert Sheckley, the action focuses on a gold digger and a womanizer who are forced to team up and pursue robot doubles of themselves – robots who have fallen in love and run off together.

Hines will co-direct the film with “Klown” helmer Casper Christensen (“Klown”) with Company Films producing. Rocket Science is handling international sales on the film in the Virtual Cannes Market.

Filming will kick off this August in New Mexico.
