Cage joins frontier tale “Butcher’s Crossing”

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Nicolas Cage will star in the epic frontier adventure feature “Butcher’s Crossing” for Altitude which is handling international sales at Cannes.

Documentary filmmaker Gabe Polsky (“Red Army,” “Red Penguins”) is making his narrative feature debut with the project, though he did work as a producer with Cage on “Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans”.

In the story, a young Harvard dropout seeks his destiny out West by tying his fate to a team of buffalo hunters led by Miller (Cage). Together, they embark on a harrowing journey risking life and sanity.

Polsky and Liam Satre-Meloy penned this adaptation of the John Williams novel and shooting is due to begin in October in the United States.

Polsky, Molly Conners, Will Clarke and Andy Mayson will produce.
