(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Gampaha High Court today ordered the release of Former CID Director SSP Shani Abeysekara and Sub Inspector Sugath Mendis on bail.
The Court of Appeal yesterday (18) ordered the Gampaha High Court to grant bail to Shani Abeysekara.
However, Shani Abeysekara was remanded till the 30th of June this month since the bail conditions relating to the release had not yet been forwarded to the Gampaha Magistrate until last evening.
