Coconut oil stocks with ‘aflatoxin’ re-exported

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Minister of Trade Bandula Gunawardana today informed Parliament that all imported coconut oil stocks that contained the cancerous substance ‘aflatoxin’ have been re-exported.

Speaking in Parliament the Trade Minister said the Director General of Customs also confirmed that stocks of coconut oil containing aflatoxin had not been released to the market.

Minister Gunawardana made this revelation in response to an oral question raised by Parliamentarian Mohomad Muzammil.
