Over 2,000 more COVID-cases in past 24-hours in Sri Lanka

(UTV | COLOMBO) – As of this morning (14), a total of 2,269 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24-hours.

The majority of 643 are from Colombo District. Among them were 39 from Boralesgamuwa, 39 from Piliyandala, 37 from Hanwella and 33 from Homagama, stated the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

Similarly, 301 positive cases were reported from Gampaha District including 34 from Kadawatha South, 29 from Katunayake, 22 from Minuwangoda and 21 from Biyagama

Meanwhile, 174 patients were reported from Ratnapura District, including the majority 65 from Embilipitiya, 42 from Balangoda and 19 from Eheliyagoda areas and others from different areas in Ratnapura.

Accordingly, in the past 24-hours, 1,118 patients were reported from Colombo, Gampaha, and Ratnapura Districts. Other 1,151 patients were reported as 155 from Galle, 126 from Anuradhapura, 121 from Kalutara, 100 from Kurunegala, 91 from Kegalle, 80 from Polonnaruwa, 67 from Nuwara Eliya, 61 from Kandy, 59 from Matara, 42 from Badulla, 40 from Puttalam, 31 each from Matale and Jaffna, 25 from Trincomalee, 22 from Monaragala, 20 from Batticaloa, 18 from Hambantota, 16 from Ampara, 13 from Mullaittivu, 10 from Vavuniya, and 3 from Kilinochchi Districts.
