Govt. urged to allow Mulslims working in Colombo to travel to their hometowns

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) today (11) urged the Government to allow the Muslims who are working in Colombo to return to their homes to be with their families during the forthcoming Ramadan Festival.

While welcoming the Government’s decisions to impose travel restrictions to contain the spread of the 3rd wave of the COVID-19, SJB Parliamentarian S. M. Marikkar said Muslims who are working in the Capital and wish to spend the Ramadan Festival with their families back in their hometowns should be allowed to do it.

The SJB also welcome the move to stop prayers at Mosques on the Festival Day.
