“The Division” Gets Several New Games

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Ubisoft has announced several updates on its “Tom Clancy’s The Division” franchise and confirmed the planned film adaptation with Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Chastain is still in development for Netflix.

The big news is “Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland,” a free-to-play iteration of the games is on the way. Developed by Red Storm, the standalone title offers “an all-new perspective on the universe in a new setting”.

That game is set to launch in sometime in the next eighteen months across PC, consoles, and cloud services. A new mobile game is also in the works for debut at a later date, as are updates for “The Division 2” later this year.

Ubisoft also has a novel in the works set after the events of “The Division 2” that explores how the Outbreak affects different regions of the United States.
