“Invincible” renewed for 2 more seasons

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Amazon’s recently launched animated series “Invincible” has been renewed for two more seasons, taking it through at least three seasons on the air.

The series is based on a comic by Robert Kirkman (“The Walking Dead”), Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley and boasts one of the biggest all-star casts ever assembled for an animated series.

The renewal comes a day before its eight-episode first season concludes. The series centers on the 17-year-old son (Steven Yeun) of a powerful superhero (J.K. Simmons) who starts to manifest powers of his own.

Sandra Oh, Seth Rogen, Gillian Jacobs, Andrew Rannells, Mark Hamill, Walton Goggins, Jason Mantzoukas, Zachary Quinto, Mahershala Ali, Melise, Kevin Michael Richardson, Grey Griffin and Khary Payton also star.
