COVID-variant spreading in UK detected in Sri Lanka

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The COVID-variant spreading in the United Kingdom (UK) has been detected in samples obtained from persons in Sri Lanka, the Health Officials said.

Director of the Immunology and Molecular Medicine Department of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Dr. Chandima Jeewandara said the COVID-variant has been found in samples obtained from residents of Colombo, Boralesgamuwa, and Kurunegala.
