(UTV | COLOMBO) – Two persons, aged-22 and 26 with 13 kilogrammes of Kerala cannabis and 45 grams of methamphetamine in Kottawa following a tip-off received by the Police last night (15).
Accordingly, a stock of Kerala cannabis was taken into custody from a residence in Liyanagoda along with a person while methamphetamine and cash worth Rs. 41,800 were taken into custody from Katukurunda along with another person.
The Police are of the opinion that the duo had distributed the drugs in the areas like Athurugiriya, Homagama, Kottawa, Maharagama, and Malabe during the festive season.
The suspects are to be produced before the Homagama Court and the Police are conducting further investigations.
