(UTV | RATNAPURA) – Two persons, aged of 44 and 45, have been reported dead after being trapped in a gem mine at Weralupitiya in Avissawella yesterday (27).
The power supply to the mine was interrupted due to heavy rains and the victims who had entered the mine got trapped inside.
The bodies are kept at the Avissawella Hospital, while investigations are conducting to ascertain the cause of deaths.
