Warners and DC Plan “Hourman” Film

Warner Bros. Pictures, Chernin Entertainment and DC Films are developing a film adaptation of the popular “Hourman” comic.

There are three different versions of the character in the comics – the first being a chemist named Rex Tyler who creates the drug ‘Miraclo’ which grants him super-strength, speed, endurance and imperviousness – but only for one hour.

The most popular version of the character is Rex’s son Rick who wears an hourglass that allows him to see exactly one-hour into the future. Gavin Games and Neil Widener will pen the script for this take, but it’s not clear which version of the material they will use.

The CW attempted to develop an “Hourman” TV series back in 2013, that version didn’t move forward. “Suits” star Patrick J. Adams played a version of the character though in a guest appearance on “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” while Lou Ferrigno Jr. took on the role in “Stargirl” last year.
