In what is the largest single-batch volumetric release of “Star Wars” content since the service’s launch, several smaller “Star Wats” tie-in titles from the 1970s, 1980s and 2000s are coming to Disney+ on April 2nd.
This includes the telemovies “Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure” from 1984, “Ewoks: The Battle for Endor” from 1985, the animated “Ewoks” TV series from 1985-1986, and Genndy Tartakovsky and Cartoon Network’s “Star Wars: Clone Wars” micro-series which ran from 2003-2005.
Also in the mix is the animated short “The Story of the Faithful Wookiee,” the cartoon that played in the middle of the live-action 1978 “The Star Wars Holiday Special” which also serves as the debut of the bounty hunter character Boba Fett.
Sadly the new inclusions don’t include the rest of the Holiday Special, so sadly we won’t be seeing Bea Arthur belting out “Good Night, But Not Goodbye” in fully-remastered HD anytime soon.
