Quarantine process for vaccinated travellers under review

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The quarantine measures adopted by travellers to Sri Lanka, including for individuals who have received the COVID-vaccine is under review, the Ministry of Health quoted by a Sri Lankan daily.

Accordingly, a request was made to consider if the mandatory quarantine can be exempted for travellers who have received the COVID-vaccine.

The new system is being considered to release local businessmen who travel overseas in a secure manner without undergoing mandatory quarantine upon their return.

A number of local businessmen, from the apparel and other key industries, have requested the Government to consider amending the quarantine process for those travelling overseas for business purposes.
