Sri Lanka conducts first burial of COVID-victims

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Sri Lanka conducted its first burial of the remains of COVID-19 victims in Batticaloa today (05).

The remains of two COVID-19 victims were buried at the Oddamawadi Burial Ground in Batticaloa.

Meanwhile, the permission has been granted to bury the remains of COVID-19 victims in two locations in the East.

The Eastern Province Health Director said permission has been granted to utilise the Soodupaththinachenai area in Oddamavadi, Batticaloa and Irakkamam area in the Ampara District as burial grounds.
