Pakistan Air Chief arrives on a 4-day official visit to Sri Lanka

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force arrived in Sri Lanka ysterday (04) to attend the 70-Year Celebrations of Sri Lankan Air Force. He was greeted with a very warm welcome and reception by Commander of Sri Lankan Air Force. This visit signifies the strong bond and friendship between the two countries and their Armed Forces.

Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force visited the Sri Lankan Air Force Head Quarters to call on the Commander of Sri Lankan Air Force. He was presented a Guard of Honour on arrival at Air Head Quarters. Both Chiefs discussed bilateral issues and vowed to further strengthen the excellent relations between the two Air Forces.

The Air Chief called on the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka Mahinda Rajapaksa in his Office. The Air Chief expressed his gratitude to the Sri Lankan Prime Minister for the hospitality and warmth extended by people of Sri Lanka. He reiterated to strengthen the bondage between both the friendly nations of always standing together in times of crises and national festivities. He also conveyed Pakistan’s desire and resolve to further enhance the existing civil-military cooperation between the two countries.
