Jackman sci-fi “Reminiscence” sets date

Hugh Jackman took to Twitter to announce a Labor Day weekend release on September 3rd for “Westworld” co-creator Lisa Joy’s upcoming sci-fi thriller “Reminiscence” which will open in theatres and on HBO Max.

In the film, Jackman plays a private investigator who deals in recapturing vivid cherished memories for clients. Rebecca Ferguson plays a mysterious client whom he falls for until she suddenly disappears.

When he decides to search for her, he discovers different aspects of her personality that he didn’t know before. The story unfolds against the backdrop of a near-future Miami changed by global warming.

Thandie Newton, Cliff Curtis, Marina de Tavira, Daniel Wu, Mojean Aria, Brett Cullen, Natalie Martinez, Angela Sarafyan, and Nico Parker co-star while Joy, Jonathan Nolan, Michael De Luca, and Aaron Ryder produce.
