Marwan Kenzari joins DC’s “Black Adam”

Dutch/Tunisian actor Marwan Kenzari, the ‘hot Jafar’ of the live-action “Aladdin” who went on to have the most sympathetic character in Netflix’s “The Old Guard,” is in final negotiations to join the “Black Adam” movie at New Line.

Dwayne Johnson stars as the titular DC Comics anti-hero character, joined by Noah Centineo, Aldis Hodge, Quintessa Swindell and now Kenzari.

The project is set to offer the big-screen introduction of DC team the Justice Society – Hodge is Hawkman, Centineo is Atom Smasher, and Swindell is Cyclone.

Kenzari’s role is under wraps. Jaume Collet-Serra (“Jungle Cruise”) directs the film which is aiming to begin production in April in Atlanta
