Sri Lanka’s total recovery from the virus rose to 59,042 persons – NOCPCO

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The total Coronavirus positives identified during the last 24 hours ending at 6 AM today (03) stands at 715 and the total cases in the country increased to 65,697, the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.

All the positives identified yesterday were Sri Lankans while 261 of them have been identified from Colombo District, 142 from Gampaha District, 61 from Badulla District and 464 persons from other districts, the NOCPCO said.

The number of infected persons associated with the Minuwangoda and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster increased to 61,710 and out of them, a total of 56,945 have left hospitals following complete recovery.

The NOCPCO also stated that a total of 12,340 PCR tests were conducted yesterday (02).

A total of 968 persons have left hospitals yesterday after complete recovery from the virus.

The total recovery from the virus in the country rose to 59,042 persons. 6,325 Coronavirus patients are undergoing medical treatments while 7,406 persons are quarantining under 93 centres managed by Tri-Forces, the NOCPCO added.

The country’s COVID-19 death toll has increased to 330 along with seven Coronavirus deaths reported during the last 24 hours.
