ACMC hold talks with Karu on issues faced by minorities

(UTV | COLOMBO) – A discussion was held with former Speaker and the All Ceylon Makkal Congress (ACMC) today (01).

The meeting was held with former Speaker and Leader of National Movement for a Social Justice (NMSJ) Karu Jayasuriya and ACMC Leader, Parliamentarian Rishad Bathiudeen along with senior members of the ACMC.

The NMSJ expressed its gratitude to the ACMC for raising its voice against the injustices perpetrated against minorities in the past, especially in the case of forced cremation of COVID-19 victims.

During the meeting, the ACMC and NMSJ held a discussion on several matters of mutual interests including the land issues facing the resettled and those still displaced.

The meeting was attended by ACMC Leader, its Chairman Ameer Ali, Secretary S. Subaideen, Deputy Leader N. M. Saheed, and the Treasurer Hussein Bhaila.
