Tim Robbins joins Amazon’s “Power” series

Oscar-winner Tim Robbins has been set as a lead opposite Leslie Mann in Amazon’s ten-episode thriller drama series “The Power” which is currently in production.

Based on Naomi Alderman’s sci-fi novel, the story is set in a world where all teenage girls suddenly and simultaneously develop the power to electrocute people at will – leading to a complete reversal of the power balance of the world.

Robbins replaces Rainn Wilson who was originally cast in the role of the self-righteous and self-important Republican governor of Washington state and a thorn in the side of Seattle’s Democratic mayor (Mann).

Jane Featherstone, Naomi de Pear, Naomi Alderman, Reed Morano and Claire Wils executive produce.
