(UTV | COLOMBO) – A 43-year-old COVID-19 positive patient who had escaped from the Punanai Treatment Centre was later located in Eheliyagoda, the Police Media Spokesperson, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Ajith Rohana said.
He had escaped from the Punanai Treatment Centre last night (19) while being treated after testing positive for the COVID-19.
Rohana added that the legal action will be taken against him under the Quarantine and Prevention of Diseases Ordinance.
