Residents in Western Province urged not to cross borders

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Residents in the Western Province have been urged not to cross borders as there is a threat of the COVID-19 spreading to other areas.

Director of the Health Promotion Bureau Dr. Palitha Karunapema said that residents looking to travel out of the Western Province must do so only if there is an urgent requirement.

The Western Province is identified as a high risk area for the COVID-19, and the Random Rapid-Antigen Testing is currently being carried out on people leaving the Western Province.
