It is likely to move northwestwards towards Northeast coast of Sri Lanka on November 24.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Eastern, Northern and Northern-central provinces. Very heavy rain falls above 150mm is likely at some places, the Met Department said.

Several spells of showers will occur in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in Puttalam, Galle and Matara districts. Very strong gusty winds (60-70) kmph can be expected in Eastern, Northern and North-central provinces and strong gusty winds (40-50) kmph elsewhere.
