“We haven’t failed” : Army Commander

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva Says Sri Lanka will resume repatriation of stranded Sri Lankans overseas from next Monday(16) as batches.

mean while “We haven’t failed. We have controlled the spread of the virus even in highly populated Colombo city. Peliyagoda fish market is a centre where fish is distributed to the whole country. That is the centre of the disease and it broke out to the whole country. We have been able to completely control the Minuwangoda cluster. 3106 patients were reported there. As I told, we have not failed at all. We will never fail. We have a good leadership and a government in the country. Those who have retired and are presently abroad also support us in this endeavour. We will succeed in this joint effort,” he said.
