Matt Damon to make “No Sudden Move”

After multiple films together from the “Ocean’s” trilogy to “Behind the Candelabra” and “The Informant,” actor Matt Damon will once again work with Steven Soderbergh on his new HBO Max crime thriller “No Sudden Move”.

Set in 1955 Detroit, the story centers on a group of small-time criminals who are hired to steal what they think is a simple document. When their plan goes horribly wrong, their search for who hired them – and for what ultimate purpose – weaves them through all echelons of the race-torn, rapidly changing city.

Don Cheadle, Benicio Del Toro, David Harbour, Amy Seimetz, Jon Hamm, Ray Liotta, Kieran Culkin, Brendan Fraser, Noah Jupe, Bill Duke, Frankie Shaw and Julia Fox star in the film for which Ed Solomon wrote the screenplay for and which Casey Silver is producing.

Damon’s role here won’t be a major one, more a cameo akin to his popping up in “Unsane” and “Che Part 2”. Damon will film the project for two days in Detroit shortly.
