The “Borat” sequel gets a very long title

A few weeks back came the news that Sacha Baron Cohen had made a “Borat” sequel in secret and was already screening it.

Today, The Film Stage has found a Writers Guild of America filing which shows the film’s current and insanely long title – “Borat: Gift of Pornographic Monkey to Vice Premiere Mikhael Pence to Make Benefit Recently Diminished Nation of Kazakhstan”.

The title is a spin on the 2006 film’s also unwieldy “Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan”. The follow-up reportedly sees Borat thinking he must hide from the public by putting on a disguise while conducting interviews with people.

Cohen is credited with writing the screenplay alongside Anthony Hines, Dan Swimer, Peter Baynham, Erica Rivinoja, Dan Mazer, Jena Friedman, and Lee Kern. No release date has yet been set.
