Public Day shifted from Wednesday to Monday

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a proposal to move the ‘Public Day’ from Wednesday to Monday, weekly.

Speaking at the weekly Cabinet media briefing today, Co-Cabinet Spokesman Minister Udaya Gammanpila said the ‘Public Day’ was held on Wednesdays for the past 60 years.

The Minister said the decision will be effective from next Monday (14).
