COVID-19 recoveries in Sri Lanka rise to 2,946

11 more persons who contracted the novel coronavirus in Sri Lanka have recovered and have been discharged from hospital during the past 24 hours.

Accordingly the number of COVID-19 recoveries in the country has risen to 2,946.

The Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health said six patients were discharged from the Welikanda Base hospital, three foreign nationals from the National Institute of Infectious Diseases and two persons have been released from the Iranawila hospital.

Accordingly, 182 persons including eight foreign nationals are currently receiving medical treatment at four hospitals across the country. 63 suspected COVID-19 cases are also under medical observation.

Meanwhile, the number of COVID-19 cases confirmed in Sri Lanka remains at 3,140 after 17 patients were identified yesterday.
