UTV | COLOMBO – The son of Former Minister Mervyn Silva, Malaka Silva, has been arrested by Police for attempting to extort Rs.100,000 from a businessman and for levelling death threats.
The 43-year-old suspect was arrested last night following a complaint lodged with the Thalangama Police on the 16th of July.
Malaka Silva will be produced before the Kaduwela Magistrate’s Court today.
The Thalangama Police is conducting further investigations.
