SLFP extends govt unconditional support

UTV | COLOMBO – Former Minister Mahinda Amaraweera says the Sri Lanka Freedom Party has decided to provide unconditional support to the President and the Prime Minister to take forward the policies of the new government.

Speaking to media in Colombo, Amaraweera said the SLFP will not demand any ministerial allocations although it has a block of 14 MPs in the new Parliament.

He said the party is focused on developing the country and will continue to work for the best interest of the people.

Former Minister Mahinda Amaraweera said he has full confidence in the Head of State who is focused on taking forward his progressive programme and protect the interest of all constituent parties within the government.
