Notice issued on Rajitha over ‘white van case’

UTV | COLOMBO – Notice has been issued on Former Minister Rajitha Senaratne and Former Chairman of the State Pharmaceuticals Corporation Mohammed Rumi to appear before the Colombo High Court on the 28th of August, over the ‘White van media briefing’ case.

The order was issued by Colombo High Court Gihan Kulathunga.

The Attorney General on the 31st of July, served indictments on Former Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne and Former SPC Chairman Mohammed Rumi over the white van media briefing case.

The duo is accused of staging a media briefing during the period leading up to 2019 Presidential Election and tarnish the image of a candidate.
