Committee to protect archaeological sites

UTV | COLOMBO – Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa has appointed an advisory committee to protect sites of archaeological  importance.

The committee comprises of 20 members and letters of appointment were handed over to the members today at Temple Trees.

The advisory committee will provide information and assistance to the Subject Minister on various matter including on safeguarding and renovating sites of historical importance, legal matters.
