Extra time granted for Grade 5 Scholarship exam

UTV | COLOMBO – Minister of Education Dullas Alahapperuma says additional 15 minutes will be granted to students who are sitting for the Grade Five Scholarship Examination in October, to answer their question papers.

The Grade Five Scholarship Examination is scheduled to be held on the 11th of October.

The Minister of Education said of the two exam papers in the Scholarship exam, 45 minutes were granted to answer the first question paper, while the second paper consisted of four questions.

Minister Alahapperuma noted that a decision was reached, that in consideration of children who have faced grave difficulties over the past four months, the 45 minutes granted to answer the exam paper would be extended to one hour instead.

Additionally, he said that the second exam sheet which consisted of four optional questions would be reduced to three questions as well.
