Announce exam dates promptly; Unions tell Govt

UTV | COLOMBO – Teacher unions say that students are severely inconvenienced since the government has not announced its stance and the new dates to conduct the 2020 GCE Advanced Level Examination.

Speaking to a prominent online news portal in the isle , General Secretary of Ceylon Teachers’ Union Joseph Stalin said the Ministry of Education is taking decisions based on advice from tuition class operators.  

Joseph Stalin also claimed that although schools across the country have been closed for two weeks due to the threat of the novel coronavirus, tuition classes continue to operate without any restrictions.
