Community Police examine 557 minor complaints

UTV | COLOMBO – 557 minor complaints lodged at 22 Police Stations in the Colombo District have been examined yesterday with the support of Community Police Officers.

The Western Province Senior Deputy Inspector General’s Office said the programme was carried out for the first time in history, based on the new circular for Community Police issued by the Acting Inspector General of Police.

The office said 200 Community Police Officers were involved in the programme.
