‘Fuel prices will be slashed in 24 hours of SJB victory’

UTV | COLOMBO – Leader of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya Sajith Premadasa says fuel prices will be reduced 24 hours after securing victory at the 5th August General Election.

The former Leader of the Opposition made this pledge while speaking at a public gathering held in Dambadeniya yesterday.

He noted that while global fuel prices have fallen to their lowest, Pakistan has now become the first country to provide fuel to its people at the lowest price in all of South Asia.

However Premadasa remarked that the government Sri Lankan approved a Cabinet paper stating fuel prices would not be amended for 12 months. He therefore pledged to reduce fuel prices as soon his faction claims a win at the Parliamentary Polls.
