Lankans stranded in Saudi Arabia repatriated

(UTV | COVID-19) – A group of Sri Lankans who were stranded in Saudi Arabia due to the coronavirus pandemic arrived in Sri Lanka today.

The group of 275 Sri Lankans were repatriated from Riyadh and arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake.

The stranded Sri Lankans were brought down via a special flight operated by SriLankan Airlines.

The Ministry of Foreign Relations has been repatriating, in groups, Sri Lankans who were stranded overseas due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
