712 Navy personnel recover from COVID-19

(UTV | COLOMBO) – 712 Navy personnel who had contracted the novel coronavirus have recovered after medical treatment.

The Sri Lanka Navy in a statement said 33 Navy personnel were released from hospitals during the past 24 hours.

12 Navy personnel were discharged from the Homagama Base Hospital while eight from the Minuwangoda Base Hospital, seven from the National Institute of Infectious Diseases and three Navy personnel were also released from the Kattankudy Base Hospital during the past 24 hours.

Three COVID-19 patients were also released from the Navy General Hospital while one individual has been discharged from the Welikanda Base Hospital during the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 178 other Navy personnel are receiving treatment at a number of hospitals at present.
