(UTV | COLOMBO) – Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa says the construction of houses in suburbs must be carried-out systematically in future.
Prime Minister Rajapaksa has said the construction of new houses should have minimum adverse environmental impact.
The Premier made these remarks during a discussion with officials attached to the National Housing Development Authority.
Several programmes carried-out by the Authority were also reviewed during the meeting.
The Office of the Prime Minister said discussions were also focused on housing projects that were initiated based on the policy statement of the President.
