5,060 continue to remain in quarantine centres

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Sri Lanka Army says 5,060 persons continue to undergo quarantine procedures at 43 quarantine centres operated by the Tri-Forces.

Media spokesman of the Army Brigadier Chandana Wickramasinghe said a total of 12,533 individuals have successfully completed mandatory quarantine procedures and left quarantine facilities thus far.

81 persons who completed the quarantine process had left seven quarantine centres yesterday, after being subjected to PCR tests.

Meanwhile Brigadier Chandana Wickramasinghe said 637 Tri-Forces personnel who contracted COVID-19 have recovered thus far while 229 continue to receive treatment.
