34 COVID-19 Navy sailors discharged yesterday

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Another 14 Navy personnel, who contracted the coronavirus, have been discharged after making a complete recovery.

The Sri Lanka Navy said a total of 34 Navy personnel were discharged yesterday.

Of the 34, 17 were receiving treatment at the Homagama Base Hospital, 12 at the Iranawila Hospital, and five at the National Institute of Infectious Diseases.

The sailors tested negative for COVID-19 in the latest PCR tests. 522 Navy personnel, who contracted the novel coronavirus, have thus far been discharged after recovering.

The 34 officers were directed to remain in quarantine for another 14 days on healthcare instructions.
