The truth behind the printing of ballot papers

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The printing of ballot papers for two districts for the General Election will be completed either today or tomorrow.

Speaking to a prominent online news portal in the isle, the Government Printer Gangani Kalpana Liyanage said the printing of ballot papers for the Parliamentary Election is currently underway.

The Government Printer also dismissed claims by certain factions that they have suspended the printing of ballot papers for the General Election.

She said based of the directives issued by the National Election Commission, the Department will complete the printing of election-related material.

The printed ballot paper will be handed over to the Election Commission as and when printing is completed.
