Manning Market closed on Thursday and Friday

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Public Traders Association says the Manning Market will be closed on Thursday and Friday in view of curfew.

Vice Chairman Namal Attanayake said the market will be disinfected on one of the two days.

Attanayake said while the Manning Market over the past few days was closed on Sundays for disinfection purposes, it will remain open this Sunday, the 7th of June.

Attanayake therefore urged farmers not to send their produce to the market on the 4th and 5th.

He noted traders decided to keep the market open on Sunday in view of curfew and Poya, adding if the market remained closed on multiple days this week everyone would be inconvenienced.
