(UTV | COLOMBO) – A 45-year-old male, who returned from Kuwait and being treated at the Homagama hospital has died due to Covid-19, reporting the eleventh death from the virus infection in Sri Lanka, the Health Ministry said.
Meanwhile, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Sri Lanka has risen to 1,663, the ministry.
There are 822 active cases under medical care at several hospitals in the country. A total of 801 Covid-19 patients have been discharged from hospitals.
