(UTV | COLOMBO) – 714 individuals have been arrested for the possession of various narcotics including heroin during the past 24 hours in a special raid carried out in the Western Province.
The raid was carried out from 6am yesterday till 6am today.
218 suspects were arrested for the possession of heroin, 98 for the possession of marijuana, and 320 suspects for the possession of illegal alcohol and gouda.
Police said 78 suspects were also arrested for the possession of methamphetamine and several other types of drugs.
