“Shadows,” “Elite,” “Prodigal” all get renewed

(UTV | Colombo) – FX has renewed its vampire mockumentary series “What We Do In The Shadows” for a third season.

The series, based on the celebrated Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi film of the same name, has drawn rave reviews across both seasons with the second set to wrap on June 10th.

This season is reportedly averaging 3.2 million total viewers across linear and digital platforms, including FX on Hulu – a 25% rise in viewership.

That’s not the only renewal news today. FOX has given greenlit for a second season of the freshman crime thriller procedural “Prodigal Son” starring Tom Payne and Michael Sheen. The show was ‘on the bubble’ and is the last FOX series to score a renewal for the new season.

Then, over at Netflix, a renewal has been handed out for a fourth season of “Elite” – the fancy Spanish high school set drama. It’s not clear when it will go into production due to the coronavirus shutdown.
